Overspray
So I was redding out my tail lights and I got quite a bit of clear coat overspray all over my car. The paint now feels...gritty.
I've done some research and found that clay bar could work in removing the particles, but some also suggested to use gasoline. Which is more effective? Won't gasoline destroy the clear coat? Also, any other tips when dealing with overspray? The clear coat is the 2K spraymax rattle can, btw, which is urethane-based or something.

Clay bar first. I feel like in detailing its always better to try the more mild process first. You wouldn't wet sand a car before trying to polish it first.

Yeah, I've ordered [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Simoniz-S57-Perfect-Finish-Detailing/dp/B0081OSRQQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1379973961&sr=8-3&keywords=clay+bar+kit"]this[/ame] from Amazon and I'm planning to use the Optimum No Rinse as a lubricant, but I wonder if I should wash or at least powerspray the car first to get rid of the other dirt that has settled in? Or would that cause more damage, cause of the tiny dried particles of overspray that could fall off and rub on the surface while I'm washing it with the mitt?

Wash first, then clay bar.
