Is it THAT noise?

Driving home today, I heard a sound like a squeaky, plastic hinge. That's then only way I could describe it, really. At first I thought there was some sort of interference from the audio system. I've read a million topics about the sound of crickets being an issue for the 86...do I have crickets? A few Youtube videos can't really confirm for me. Oddly enough, they stopped as I rolled to a stop at a red light, and never came back. I ask because if that was it...it doesn't really sound like crickets, more like creaky plastic that needs to be oiled.

You'll know when you have the crickets, trust me. The sound comes from under the hood

I have a subtle creak/squeak noise that happens about every 10 (15?) seconds when my AC is on. Not sure if it's the compressor kicking on/off, which would vary the cycle time of the noise based on need, but I stopped caring after I figured it out.
