Heuberger Motors (Clint & Dawn)

Hi Everyone,

First time poster, but long time lurker. However, I think my first post on here is quite befitting of the situation. Simply because It will be about the new purchase experience of my 2013 Subaru BRZ Limited in Satin White Pearl.

Back Story
So I was initially shopping for a BRZ in Southern California, but was discouraged time and time again at the dealer's inability to give me a decent price on one. Therefore, I turned to shopping for an FRS instead. I figured I could do without the extra features on the BRZ Limited, even though I would have preferred them. However, to my surprise, there were a lot of FRS's around me that had sticker prices that were 30K and up. One might be wondering, doesn't Scion have a True Car price policy of some sorts? Well, little did I know that dealers were slapping all sorts of "options" that I did not want, or need. Things seemed very bleak at this point. FRS's were overpriced, BRZ's were overpriced. I was about ready to give up and look at other vehicles.

Then I came across this forum, and read about other people's experiences when buying from Clint @ Heuberger Motors. Of course I was skeptical. Just because it was a good experience for others, doesn't mean it would be the same for me? However, Clint definitely put my mind at ease on the matter. He reassured me that there was no catch,and no fishy business going on. As soon as I put my deposit down, he sent me a picture of the vehicle that I would be purchasing. He also made sure to update me on the status of my purchase via e-mail/text/telephone throughout the entire process.

Another honorable mention would be Dawn. She called me to finalize my order, and it was a pleasant experience. She introduced me to the various warranties and protections plans, and at no point did I feel too pressured to purchase them. I politely declined, and that was the end of it. This type of service and attitude was greatly appreciated.

So my current status when writing this review is that I just received delivery of my car, and I am loving it! Although it came quite dirty from what I can assume is from the transport from Colorado to California. But it didn't bother me too much since I was looking forward to washing it anyways. So from what I've read on here, I just need to wait for the paperwork so that I can register the vehicle with the DMV, and also need to complete smog, and inspection. Assuming the paperwork comes in a timely manner, and registration goes smoothly, no changes will need to be made to this review. I'm hoping for the best!

For anyone that is apprehensive about purchasing out of state, don't worry too much. Clint & Dawn at Heuberger Motors were a pleasure to work with, and the process was very simple. The hardest part of the transaction was the anticipation from waiting for my car to be delivered. But I suppose that could be remedied with a trip to Colorado rather than having it delivered.

Special thanks to the members of this forum. Without you all, I would not have discovered Clint @ Heuberger Motors, and I probably would not be a proud owner of a Subaru BRZ, or even an FRS for that matter.

Side note: Hope I don't get crickets!
