86er's...why didn't you buy this?

E86 (coincidence!?)
330hp
270tq
RWD
2008 Low mileage = 30Kish

Long term maint = higher?
Insurance = higher?

I only looked at it briefly. In my case:

1) Still more expensive than a new FRS/BRZ
2) No warranty, german cars are expensive to maintain
3) Was never praised for its handling dynamics —how could BMW get this wrong, right?—.
4) BMW driver douchebag stigma

The thought had occurred to me that I could have gotten one of those but at that point I had already bought the FRS. Oneof my coworkers bought one brand new and I always thought it was a really classy car. . reminds me a bit of the car from the movie Harold and Maude. One downer thought though, a review that I read said it feels like you're sitting right on top of the rear axle not exactly ideal for handling dynamics. They basically said it drives like a muscle car. Like the idea of a high revving NA 6 cyl though.

Expensive. Maintenance. No rear seat. Those are my reasons.

Maintenance, the causal stuff like Oil changes and fluids i can do myself, but when something breaks it'll cost me a nice set of coilovers.

My friends father use to own one, he said it had the 370Z syndrome, the harder you drive it the worst it is.
