Cheap Bumpers?

Hey guys,

So this happened to my car today, as far as I can see it is just bumper damage. I'm trying to avoid claiming insurance for various reasons. I would like to get this replaced but Penn Toyota ( where I bought my car) is asking me for something like $450 unpainted and not including labor.

If you guys know anywhere I could possibly get a replacement part locally PAINTED, for a decent amount. Please let me know.

I can install the bumper myself so just the cost of the bumper is fine.

If worst comes to worst, I'll look for something aftermarket. but that would be my last resort.

Thanks guys,

Jin

It actually looks a lot worse in person.

Make sure you take it to a good body shop. The white is a pain to color match, don't skim.

Doesn't matter it won't be perfect my car is basically brand new and my bumper doesn't even match my fenders. It's like a shade off due to the fact that the bumper is plastic and the fenders are metal. It's the way the paint bonds to the plastic. It sucks IMHO, but oh well. And if the paint is new matching should be a breeze. After a few years and the sun starts to fade everything else and you have a fresh bumper that's when you really notice. I know from experience -__- lol

Hell, I'm surprised it's just $450 for the bumper from Toyota. That's dirt cheap.

That is the cheap option. Aftermarket's gonna cost you more than that and the install even more than that.

Sounds like OEM's the way to go to me. Obviously getting one that's been totalled in a junkyard with just rear-end damage would be ideal. But hard to find, and a car this new tends to get picked up at auction by rebuilders before it hits a junkyard.
