Removing BRZ Head Unit

Can anybody offer advice?

The OEM Audio Plus system arrived today, but the instructions included, and all of the online help I've been able to track down, refer to the FR-S head unit removal which is different. I've misplaced the Nav unit manual.

I have plastic panel tools and thought it would just pop out, but before I use more force than I had originally thought would be required -- is this the correct way to remove it? Should I be prying it from the side, top, bottom?

I pulled the dash pieces off without any tools pretty easily. Grab the passenger side panel at the top and bottom and pull and it will come out. Then it's easier to get the shroud around the HU.

This helps (factory manual):

You have to read the thread to see how to access the manual, but it works.

I have access to all of the factory manual & the schematics with that download.
