Nissan 350z any good?
I have wanted a frs for a while now but with the rumours of a better one in 2015 and me wanting to wait for the 13 to be cheaper I keep looking to enjoy another rwd car. I like the looks of nismo 350z but I've heard some people say they are numb and boring. Then I hear others praise it as an amazing vehicle. Any people drive both?

Test drive it. I test drove one and it was obviously faster but handling was ok.

Haven't drive one, but have had some seat time in a 370. IMO, if you want a 350 the best bet would probably be an 07 or 08 with the HR engine. The 370 was a fun car to drive, and it'd still be a consideration of mine, but the lack of a rear seat does bother me a bit.

Friend of mine has 350z and I think it's a great car. Obviously comparing the 350z to modern sports car will make 350z less interesting. Those were made from 02 to 08, it's an aged car, but not too much. Watch the 350z video made by Nissan engineers on youtube. They've put so much R&D on this car..
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2KBlta-zu4"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2KBlta-zu4[/ame] I went to track once with the friend and his car performed pretty well. His only mods are nismo exhaust and Volk TE37/michellin super sport. If you really know about car's characteristics and its intention from engineers, you should be able to enjoy the car. Of course your personal preference is important too. It's a great car, but make sure you're ready with some maintenance if you decide to buy one. |

You'll set a better lap time in a 350z, but you'll have more fun in an frs. I say stick with your RSX for another 2 years and see where the market is. Used FRSs are already going for around $20k, so they will be cheap soon enough.

To the OP, the power increase is RUMORED I would gamble that the power doesn't increase significantly for a long time. Unless you're waiting to save up more cash I don't see any reason to wait, grab a '13 now for MSRP or less, I doubt you'll have regrets. I also think the RSX is a better car than the Z, if you prioritize an agile feel. Edit: depending on region this may be hopeful for you http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44828 Personally I think MSRP is fair, anything under that is gravy. |
