86 oil cap > grimspeed oil cap!

Hi All, I was going to get a Grimspeed oil cap but I just ordered something
that I think looks way better here > https://www.fareastautopart.com/prod...oyota-86-gt86/
What do you think ? To me this looks like a TRD oil cap but beefier and juicier
I luv the "86" on the cap!

Grimmspeed is too expensive and small ( not enough heft to it) .
But I guess some like it small.

Both oil caps are pretty much the same size. (I think the Grimmspeed is a little bigger) And the one you posted is only $20 cheaper.

I like grimmspeeds, the one you posted looks like an oil cap with the 86 logo printed on it flat. Grimmspeeds design incorporated the 86 logo into the actual oil caps shape

Yea, I gotta be honest, the grimmspeed cap always seemed lop-sided to me. Main reason why I never bought one.

I do like this one though, the 86 logo looks exactly like the one on the fender.

I've got the GS one (picked it up for $45) and I have to say it's retarded. I mean it's a nice piece, sure, but an aluminum oil cap? What happens when you're changing your oil and you don't have gloves? You burn the ever living snot out of your hand.

And it's inside the engine bay. How often are you opening your hood?

It's a bling piece. What is the point of carbon engine covers, engine dress up kits, etc?

For me I'd never buy that type of thing but when you are parking at a show and opening your hood that is what is going to get attention and potential sponsorship.

For looks I'd have to say the Grimmspeed is way better from my point of view. As far as things like heft, I don't remove my oil cap enough to really be worried about that.

In the design of our oil cap, we wanted something unique and special to commemorate these two cars. To me, this doesn't scream unique or special. This is simply a laser etched logo on a generic cap, but that's just my opinion. Glad you're happy with it though, and you saved yourself $15! Always fun to see someone else's take on a special edition oil cap.

You saved $13 to be exact. They look to be about the same size, and both aluminum so you're gonna burn your hand if you're not careful with either one. It really comes down to which one you want.
