SD card questions.

1. Can you back up the US NAV SD card? I tried copying the content to a new card but (as I expected) it wouldn't load in the system and there was no way to name it the same as the original card. Is the name the protection mechanism?

2. Anyone tried to copy updated maps from iGo to the SD card and replace them to get the maps updated?

OK. No one seemed to know so now that I know I will answer my own questions.

1. The Naviextras software which you use to update your maps can back up your SD card.

2. I called Subaru of America and they offered a one time upgrade of the maps. I need to buy them and email a receipt which they will refund.

Surprised no one has ripped an image of the updated maps yet.

I don't know if you can. Simply copying it doesn't work. I'm sure they have some sort of copy protection.

It has been discussed in this thread, and I think the SD card would need to be imaged, and not just copied.
