FR-S to BRZ feature add-ons

How difficult would everyone think to put in the automatic headlights function like in the BRZ or the homelink functionality into the FR-S? Same goes for heated seats. Ignoring cost as an issue, I'll be upgrading later on as the basic FR-S is all I can afford now, would there need to be much added wiring? I'm sure some people will be doing this.

Expensive and not worth it. This is a driver's car, drive it. When you think it's dark and you need light, turn on the lights.

Why not just wait until you can afford a BRZ? Saves you the trouble plus doesn't interfere with Warranties.

The HID headlights should supposedly be a plug-and-play affair, but automatic feature probably not. You can add heated seats with an aftermarket kit, and an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink should be offered as a genuine Toyota accessory. Scions typically come pre-wired for accessories such as subwoofer, auto-dimming mirror, fog lights, and interior accent lighting.

I have a similar question about the BRZ Limited climate control with toggle switches (and push start I suppose). Would this be something you could install at some point in the FR-S or BRZ Premium? I love the look of those switches, but don't really want anything else the Limited has.

I have the HomeLink buttons on my sunvisor in my IS300 and it's as easy as just finding a 12V power source.

The headlamp auto-levelling feature though in the IS I'm sure is a bit more complicated than a simple swap because of the front and rear levelling sensors (or i think it's just one rear sensor) at the wheels to determine the car's pitch angle.

By the way, I've done universal seat heater installs and they don't heat up as fast as OEM, just fyi.

Learn to read, I said I don't give a damn about cost. Maybe if you weren't so concerned looking down at your headlights switch you would have noticed.

As for all the other input, thanks. @Turbowned, that answered pretty much everything if I want to add some amenities later on. Looks eventually I'd have to do a little more if I want more over PnP.

Just FYI, buy a BRZ instead if you don't care about cost. With that being said, heated seats can be add aftermarket and that shouldn't be a problem; along with homelink. The hard thing is the automatic headlights; probably requires lots of wiring which is tedious work.

i believe there's a pretty good chance that all of the necessary wiring will be in place for all options. on newer tacomas they just leave un-used harness connectors unplugged if the truck is not equipped with that particular option. same thing with subarus. for example, a friend of mine was considering installing fog lights on a 2007 impreza. all that was required was the switch, relay, and fogs. all wiring was already installed on the car from the factory.

It's going to be easy to add all this stuff. Home link mirror will be an accessory. The hids will be plug and play from a European 86 and maybe a BRZ.

But I want that frameless rearview mirror...

It would be great if they could do that. Doesn't matter if you want it or not, they could at least consider it as an option!
