Why get the TRD bodykit?

For 2 grand when I can get this one for a fraction of the cost?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-13-SCION-...275375&vxp=mtr

Whats the difference? I'm seriously wondering why get the trd kit ..is it name brand only?

The name (bling), guaranteed fitment and proper installation hardware, and warranty from manufacturer defect/QC...

Oh, and blessings from the TRD gods.

I wouldn't trust a vendor that can't even tell the difference between the kit it's selling.

Look at the picture in the link, the red 86 has the Nur spec kit, while the bottom is a TRD front spoiler. Totally different kits and they're advertising it as the same.

That's why I would go with genuine.

The reason you get it is because you will either spend more than the cost of the real kit after you have it installed cause those "cheap" copy kits never fit right. Especially with a lip kit. They will have to do all kinds of work to get the fit right and that costs money.

Either that or you can put it on as is and have the fit be shit. I have been doing this for over 18 years now and almost every cheap or copy kit I know that people tried fit like crap and cost them more in the long run and looked worse than ordering the real one.

I have purchased a VIS RACING replica kit of the TRD full package. Here are my reasons why I would (and should have) spent the extra cost to get the real thing:

- fitment is NOT and NEVER will be flush (as compared to TRD)
- you have to get this kit custom painted and from my experience, having professional shops try to match the paint is almost impossible - TRD is as accurate as it can get

these two facts were enough to have spent more for the proper product
