Stick shift school in Houston?
I want to buy a new BRZ with manual trans but I've never driven a manual trans car. Is there a school that offers any classes on stick shift driving in Houston area?
Thanks! ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 |

Ask a friend who has manual.
If you're not in high school, ask a coworker. If you're not an adult, ask the salesman to teach you while you take the BRZ out for a test drive. |

You might have better luck posting in the regional section of the forum. Run a google or yelp search on driving schools and check their website for adult and manual driving programs.

I learned from here and an guy called S0ggyrice on youtube. Literally went to the dealership and drove it off the lot. I even told the saleman I haven't really driven stick and he walked me through just starting the car and we were off! |

The brz is my first manual. As long as you understand the basics and how a manual transmission works, you only need a couple hours of practice, with an experienced person, to get the hang of it.

If you understand driving manual (like when to change gears, when to put in the clutch, etc) then the rest of it just takes practice.
