Xpel Paint Protection
New to the forum as I just bought my Whiteout FRS today.
The first thing on my list is to have a paint protection film applied. Looking to have xpel ultimate installed on my car through Auto Armor NW. Anyone here have Xpel installed on their FRS/BRZ and experience with Auto Armor NW? |

Is this like a clear bra?
If so I heard mixed reviews like some yellowing after some time and sometimes if they didn't install the clear bra properly , like leaving air bubbles or dust underneath. But overall it keeps the paint like new when you remove it, which is a pain in the ass I myself don't plan on doing the clear bra but let me know what you think after you get it done Good luck and can grats on your frs! |

When Guardline was around, I had Sean do it for us :
Ref : http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=401768 It's good stuff, repels rocks and debris better than without! Cheers! Bob @ Drift-Office, LLC |

I'm thinking about getting it at Auto Armor NW as well since it got good reviews on yelp. Let me know how it goes if you go with them along and the price to get it done. Midnight Window Tinting also does Xpel so that might be another option.
Might also put opti-coat before putting on the clear bra. Anyone know options for opti-coat? Metropolitan Detail seem to be the only one in the area. |

I've narrowed it down to Metropolitan Detail or Auto Armor NW as they both have great reviews. Auto Armor NW is $1495 for the full bumper, hood, and full fender application. Metropolitan Detail is about $2000 for the same application with lifetime wax applications.
I probably will end up going to Auto Armor NW to save some $$. |

I just had mine done there (Auto Armor NW) two weeks ago. They did a great job and the xpel film is much less noticeable than the 3M films I have used on my previous cars.
