Back Camera Install - Pioneer AVIC-X930BT

Has anyone tried to install a back-up camera for us Canadian BRZ owners? I couldn't find any topics about nor a how-to. Can someone provide this? I'd really like to setup mine.

TIA guys

I was able to figure it out with another member on this forum.

Your camera wires should have a red, black, and yellow RCA plug

you will need to buy this extra harness in order to complete the installation.

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Assembly-Harness-Pioneer-X9310BT/dp/B0088HRFJG/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1379866 806&sr=1-3-fkmr0&keywords=PIONEER+RCA+PLUG+AVIC+X930BT+AVIC+X 9310BT+AVIC+Z130BT+AVIC+X940BT+AVIC+Z140BH"]Amazon.com: Subaru Replacement RCA Cord Assembly AV Radio Harness for Pioneer Avic X9310BT.: Electronics[/ame]

Wiring set up:

Black wire of the reverse camera goes to a ground screw

Yellow RCA input goes to brown RCA output of the new harness

Red Wire goes to red wire of an unused 10 pin connector behind the dash. It is wrapped with foam.

Lastly you will need to wire up the purple wire from the black 16 pin connector from the back of the head unit to an orange/white wire found in the back of the dash as well.

Then everything should work.

I'm still waiting for my harness to arrive, will confirm with you once I get everything to work.

Hey. The orange and white wire you connected your purple wire from. Is it found on a 10 pin connector or a 28 pin connector

I'm in the middle of the install now: Why do I need to wire this purple wire to the orange/white wire? Thanks.

UPDATED: Nvm I realised why it was needed... full explanation following my "How to" link below.
