Tuning forsale section

I know this has been brought up in the past, but I just read a thread and found out there's three more tuners offering product on this forum. On top of that Visconti and FA20 both have threads that are ridiculously huge. I think it might be time to have a separate forum for these guys.

Yes please. I'd say both the customers and vendors deserve it at this point and its only going to get bigger.

A sub-forum for 5-10 vendors sales' threads? Waste IMO. Sales threads are sales threads, what more needs to be there aside from people saying they want stuff and the vendor bumping it?

At first we only had one or two tuners and at that point it was a good idea to keep them included with the other sections, now we have atleast half a dozen Ecutek tuners, Unichip, and the tablet thingy coming out soon. I think a centralized spot for the discussions on these products would clean up other forums, help tuners and physical part vendors promote their product more effectively, and make it easier for customers to keep up with on going developments.

A tune is one of the few products where the vendor and customer continue to converse long after the initial purchase. The Engine, Exhaust, Transmission, ECU, Forced Induction, and Engine, Exhaust, Bolt-Ons forums include conversations on tuning that are made harder to follow because they are spread out.

Also, as an avid reader of this forum, I was surprised to find there's new tuners that I wasn't aware of. I'd hate to be a noob trying to buy a tune and not even knowing what the options are.

Hell, neons.org seperates Engine performance; Drivetrain, Driveline, Suspension; Tuning; and Tuning Megasquirt into four separate forums. I'm pretty sure this forum has more traffic then a forum for a car that wasn't popular when it was being produced eight years ago.

See, there I can agree. A separate Engine Management technical forum makes sense. A classifieds sub-forum, respectfully, does not.

Fair enough, the discussions can happen anywhere, I'd just like to see a separate section for them.

Agreed. I have many friends who are just now joining the community, and frankly they're pretty lost as far as the available options out there. There are a lot of quality roads available that are relatively quiet and under-advertised on this forum that a majority just aren't cognizant of. I know quite a few people who only thought there were two and just went with the one with the highest post count haha
