First Wet Experience

Well, it finally happened. Finally did my first event in the rain. Car handled surprisingly well for what it's worth. This was not a SCCA event so I only have raw times.

FTD was 1:04.268 dry White BMW Z4M.

Mods:
22mm adjustable Whiteline front sway bar
OEM Camber bolts (-1.0 in the fronts and -1.5 in the rear with slight toe in)
Dunlop Direzza ZII 215/45 R17

I actually experimented with the different traction control settings. My fastest wet lap was with everything off. You always knew when the tires were about to lose grip. I felt VSC sport to be super invasive and I could not hold my speed or lines. Was wondering what other people's experiences were and thought this would be some good discussion. Also, any critiques to my driving is welcome too.

All off - 1:13.674

VSC Sport on - 1:15.318

Looked like a blast.

I agree with your comments about the trac and VCS settings. IMO it seems to do more harm than good and in some cases completely has caused me to loose focus.

I pretty much have begun to always turn everything off. I tried just turning off traction control while driving but, it always manages to come back unless VCS is off as well.

Ive honestly had more fun in the rain on stock tires and alignment than i have had on my current tires and autox alignment on dry pavement.
