Walked out to a note on my windshield that started with "Sorry about the scratch"
At least she left a note though. I'm sure many people would not have. I'm guessing it'll need to be resprayed? ![]() ![]()

It depends on if it is scratches or if it is paint transfers and scuffs.
I'd take a rag with some lacquer thinner on it (wet the rag till tamp) and wipe the area. That will remove any paint transfer. Then use a wet towl (water) and wipe the surface. When the surface is wet if it looks good and you cannot see the scuffs and scratches then there is a good chance you can buff the finish. If there is any scratches that you can catch your finger nail on your getting a respray. |

The extent of that should buff right out with rubbing compound, finished up with scratch-x.

Leaving a note without her information is almost worst than no notes at all. Pricks! Sorry about that.

As others have said, from what it looks like, most of that should buff out, though it's not nearly as simple as mikeTee would have you think...it's nothing you'll be able to accomplish by hand. You'll need a machine to achieve the best possible results.
I would consult with a professional detailer (or two) to start with, then progress up the scale to a body shop if the results are not to your liking.

it looks like it will not be a problem to remove. a clay bar will remove a good majority of the white paint. come back with a polishing pad and polish and see how that works for you. if there are deeper scratches, retry with a compound then re polish.

Thanks for all the input. She did leave a number and said she would take care of it so I'm going to get a quote tomorrow and go from there. I definitely want to get it taken care of professionally as I had similar damage on my previous car that started to rust over time.
