Album art in mp3's on usb

I use a 32gig usb thumb drive in my BRZ, with most of my mp3 collection. MP3's are from various sources, and date back to when mp3's first became popular and I ripped all my cd's. So, some of the collection doesn't have embedded album art, but with the BRZ being able to display it, I'd like to add the album art where missing.

Any good utilities to do this automatically on my PC?

iTunes does a decent job at that.

I think WMP also has an album cover finder function. You can add them by hand with cover pictures found on google with iTunes or MediaMonkey.

The strange thing is I use iTunes on my ipod touch 2nd gen to get all the album artworks and NONE shows up on my display. It's almost random, it works for you ? I'm with OP here, got mp3's dating back from the 90's...gosh I feel old.

I haven't noticed with my iPod nano since I've only hooked it up once. I normally use the radio or a CD. I'll make sure to check next time I plug it in. It could be the format of the picture. I have noticed that WMP won't read some of the album cover art that were found with iTunes and vice-verse.

I use Mp3tag for this sort of stuff. It doesn't do it automatically (A good chunk of my music is stuff that nothing would find automatically anyway...), but it makes it very easy to edit entire albums tags/art/etc in one go.

MediaMonkey works really well. I used it to completely re-vamp my ID3 tags for this specific reason.

Thanks, I'll grab a copy of that...would prefer to automate the process though.
