Bought this Switch ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner CAN ELM 327 Scan Tool from Amazon for $25 . If I can be bothered, I'll post back to say if and how well it works with Torque and my netbook based Palmer ScanXL Pro.

I got this one at Amazon for $19.99 plus shipping. I've used it and just left it plugged in with no issue. I use it with my Nexus 7 with Torque app and the thing is very accurate in my opinion (although I don't know how to verify it).
