The car that gives you a smile!

Its from a norwegian internett site: http://www.klikk.no/motor/article746912.ece

google translate:

The car that gives you a smile

Do you think that sports cars have to have enormous strength and extreme traction? Think again.
GT 86 has neither, but is as good as a 500-hp monster.
- It is always the driver, not the vehicle, which shall be the hero, says Tetsuya Tada, chief engineer for the GT 86
In one sentence he has summed up what it is with sports cars that have bothered me lately. It's about the driver, you jerk.
The tendency that cars are getting faster, getting more traction and less socially acceptable is the current motto.
But it must be like that?
Tada-san has just lit its three key elements of the GT 86, and it sounds like an extract from the book "How do you build a sports car in 2012."
Item one: No turbo. Element Two: No 4WD. And (my personal favorite) item three: Narrow tires. Fast lap times were obviously not a priority here.

JUDGE
GT 86 is just as compelling as its sister car Subaru BRZ, which makes the GT 86 to one of the most beautiful cars on the road to drive. Coming in June.

Fantastic little coupe
So this makes it frustrating that we have the second meeting with the GT 86 is still referred to a court? Last time we were in Japan, and was limited to third gear.
This time we are in Jarama, just off Madrid in Spain, but we have at least six offers to play with. Something that lets me make a direct comparison with a Subaru BRZ as I had many happy hours earlier, and Tetsuya Tada is good enough to point out that the two cars are identical except for changes in the springs and dampers.
But I could not find the difference between them.
In a rather dramatic moment on the pitch I thought to know a little more softness and body roll in the GT 86 But no matter how you look at it, this is an amazing little coupe. It is so fast in the labs, and so eager to change direction, and yet soft and pliable when making their cases.
Turns rivals
If you want to scare yourself, turn off tc button. I know it is not particularly relevant, but this thing lets hedge drifting in refreshing ways.
It also has an excellent total electric power steering.
But there is more to bring here. From what I could find out at Jarama, it runs very beautiful, and the brakes and the gearbox is simply wonderful. I will honestly be amazed (and disappointed) if this is a bad car on the road.
Toyota takes aim at a price of 450 000 in Norway when it comes in June, with rivals like the VW Scirocco and Peugeot RCZ.
But this car will still beat rivals in handling. Tetsuya Tada am sure that what matters here is that the driver gets out of the car with a smile on your lips.
I did.

FIRST TRIP: Toyota GT 86
Rival: Peugeot RCZ - has not the same hard driving style that the GT 86, but is very silly. A beautiful return to form from Peugeot.

My Miata certainly isn't close to being a hot rod but it sure is a hoot to drive.
