Mud Flaps DIY?

Is there a mud flap install DIY video or post?

What portions are available in terms of mud flaps? Would like to do it myself if possible.

You can source OEM ones locally for $60+tax and put them on in less than 10 minutes if you forgo drilling holes. I'm a supernoob with car stuff and even I was able to do it. All you need is a flathead for the push-clips and a short phillips head for the screws.

Do the flaps come in body paint color? I have the 10 series silver ignition so not sure which color would be right.

As I recall, the OEM ones just come in black, which will blend in OK with your car (IMHO).

If you get the OEM flaps you will have to remove the rear wheels to properly secure them. No big deal .....

PU060-18013-P1 - Front & Rear Mudflaps Set

i have mud flaps on my 10-series (comes stock on all canadian FR-S's) and they only come in black. i prefer them black anyway. i'll be getting rid of mine soon since i'll be adding a 5axis kit.

If you get Rally Armor flaps, you better rally. I'm glad the guy used to see with a BMW 318 with Rally Armor flaps actually did come out to rally! I hate the STi I've seen a couple times with flaps, roof vent, WRC Blue has never shown up at rallycross, poser!

It's an easy job. Remove the rear wheels, turn the fronts.

No need to remove wheels or drill holes. There is a DIY thread in DIY section.

You don't HAVE to drill, but if you want to install it correctly, you do...which then requires the removal of the rear wheel. Yes, I read the sticky before I did mine and decided I wanted all the proper contact points made.

It really isn't hard to remove 5 bolts and a wheel for a few minutes in order to do the job correctly...

Not sure your info is factual. I have the rallyarmor flaps and I don't "rally". Turns out that if I buy them I can do what I want with them; there is no clause anywhere when you buy them stating "you better rally". And before its said I'm fine with being a poser. Even tho I feel that term is misused in this scenario.

Sorry, I was being opinionated. In reality its your car and yes, we can all do whatever we want. The flaps is alright, although it seems overkill to me to see the rally armor red flaps sticking out.
I just want more people to come out to rallycross, we need more participation so it bums me out when I see that tricked out STi on the street but it's never been on the dirt.
I'm working on an All-Trac I just inherited and if/when I get it running, it's going rallycrossing!

Yep, I tried everything to not have to remove the rear tires .... I couldn't find a drill to drill at a right angle in close quarters .....

I was just giving ya a hard time. No biggie. The factory mud flaps just seemed cheap to me. And I like the look of the RA's a lot better for keeping junk off my car. The red ones just look awesome with firestorm. We all have our peeves and I understand what ya mean. I hate the street racing kids around Charleston.
