Wheels and Tires

Hi,

Im pretty new to this whole thing, but my first change to my car that I would like to do is change my rims and tires. I have been eyeing up Gram Light 57Xtreme if they have something like 18x8 or 18x8.5 without worrying about rubbing on the struts or fenders. What I am trying to do is make my rims and tires as flush as possible with the fender (not really too sure on what specs r required for that, but im sure ill figure it out lol...hopefully)

I was wondering if there are any recommended websites that I can order from (where i live they do not have much of a car scene here so its hard to find the good stuff haha) that are in Canada so that I can avoid paying duty.

Thanks!

if you are anywhere near the gta look up tires23 they have some very good prices. You could give them a call and look into shipping, I don't think you can order online from them.

I went with 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 works wheels with the eibach pro kit lowering springs and no issues rubbing at all and they are definitely flush.

Anyone in the GTA should check out gbtires.ca as well for pricing, I found their pricing was a bit better than anywhere else I looked.

I also went with Tires23.com in the GTA and I can't say enough good things.

If you want flush you're looking at something like 18x8.5 +38 front 18x9.5 +38 rear

This is my car:

Yeah sorry I should have clarified, these specs are only for Work wheels, other makes will be different.

I'm running this with no rubbing at all on eibach sportlines.

Mind if you PM me the price you got? I got a quote from them earlier, for the Kiwamis, too bad their Work sale that's going on right now doesn't include Kiwamis.

If you need any help, just send me a PM!

I've gone on some very steep inclines/dips and have never scraped. I'm lowered about 1.1-1.2 inches. I really recommend lowering the car some if you're getting aftermarket wheels/tires. The gap kills the look. Up to you though. I'm from Calgary, AB by the way. Not sure how the roads are wherever you are.

Yeah absolutely. We carry the full Rays line up including Gram Lights, and Volk, not to mention the others like Advan, SSR, Wedsport, Work and a few more that are slipping my mind at the moment. We ship to Canada everyday and have a few great shipping options to choose from as well.

Just a note to people ordering from the States, unless you are going to pick up at the border, be sure to use http://www.thefinalcost.com/ to calculate an estimate of your final cost after customs fee/brokerage fee/handling fee/etc. Expect to be dinged at door when you receive your delivery especially when shipped by UPS or FedEx.

+1 That's a good recommendation, never seen that before actually, I think I might use that for our customers. We do use Pilot freight sometimes for big boxed items, which isn't listed on there, but we ALWAYS avoid UPS when shipping to Canada because we know the freight charges and customs are significantly higher than USPS for example.
