Perthies!!

Hi there.

Just wondering if there's any Perthies here?
If so, are you getting the BRZ or 86?
And.. which dealer are you getting them from?

I went for a drive and stopped by Melville, Vic Park and Osborne Park.. and no BRZ

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I live in Perth and I'll be looking to purchase one. Still haven't made up my mind on whether to go brz or 86. Waiting for official pricing first. But I do like the look of the brz more.

I spoke to City Subaru (Vic Park) last Wednesday and the guy I spoke to said that the release would be in mid-late June and the rough drive away price would be $50k. But that's not official, just what he'd heard around the dealership grape vine.

It is done.

Well.. I signed my life away this morning.
So I guess I'm in line.. HOPEFULLY for a June delivery.
Dealer said there was 3-4 commited deposits similar to mine.

I went for the SWP, 6MT, GTS spec.

I placed mine at New Town Toyota last October. I'm surprised you went $40K+. I believe the car will be low 40's but I put straight 40K in my contract just to save my ass incase there is something horrifically wrong with the car... But I'm sure there won't be

Ahhh yeah I asked the sales rep before I signed the contract if it was refundable if I did not agree to the price. He said it was. I also added subject to BANKWEST Finance(and not their own or other 3rd party) just to be safe.

I'm thinking about doing a deposit on a BRZ Ltd also now that the US prices have been released. Hopefully Toyota/Scion and Subaru will compete on pricing there and it may overflow towards the Australian market..

But I'll be upfront and show the Subi dealer the contract so he knows too.
Will probably specify a 6MT in WRB, SWP or DGM.. not really caring what colour I get, they seem to be the more popular colours.

Also for the 86, I specified White or Orange or Lightning Red. I'm not really fussed as long as its a 6MT GTS.

ooooo....many from Perth have put down a deposit.

I really wanted one of these but really unsure til i see it in person. Wanted to see it in person at the Toyota Museum in Japan but it wasnt released yet.

Need to see the price of this as well. Would probably have to sell on of my Evos as well to finance this if they can sold under the $40k mark.

Toyota in either White or Black would be my go.

Still pending at this rate, will see what pans out in the coming months.

Once i start seeing a few 86's or even the odd BRZ on the road then temptation will probably go through the roof, thats when i would go and purchase.

Thanks for putting up that invoice Stevo! At least the rest of us sort of know what to expect if we're going to put down a deposit.

hahaha good spot! I wasn't really too worried about the petrol tbh. Didn't want whatever cheap stuff they were gonna put in anyway. Ran the car down to 1/4 tank then filled up with Ultimate 98.
