Greddy Turbo Questions

I ordered a Greddy turbo kit and oil cooler kit and I was wondering if anyone else in the ft86club community had any experience with this kit specifically.

- Any hiccups or anything unexpected?
- Any tips and tricks for this kit in particular?

Also, slightly unrelated...

Does anyone have any recommendations for tuners in the midwest (Kansas / Oklahoma area)?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, I haven't found anything specific to my needs as of yet.

From the research I've done as i'm in the market for a kit myself, it's to early in the game to know of any 'hiccups' and even if the owners of the GReddy kit chime in I'd say its still to early for them to even say if the kit/setup they're running is reliable. I'd get the kit installed by a professional unless your certain you are capable and get a conservative tune and run low psi, I'd say around 5 and wait until people with the GReddy kits surface and see how they're holding up running higher boost etc.

My Greddy kit is intalled already. I just have to upload the tune from FA20club. I should have my car running next week when I return home.

I just completed the install of this turbo kit on my BRZ last week. I did it in my garage at home with a motor savvy buddy. There were only 2 real "hiccups" or unexpected steps that blindly went with this kit. Otherwise I'd say just about anyone could bolt this on at home, the kit is very solid and the pieces fit perfectly:

1. You have to remove your oil pan, drill a hole in it, and solder an oil return line into it at the correct angle. Getting the pan off w/out damaging it is the only real challenge here, as Subaru decided they'd seal the hell out of the pan instead of use a gasket (understandable I guess).
2. The intercooler and the crash bar aren't friends. You either have to cut your crash bar to the point of it not even being functional, or just leave it off. I went with the latter.

I guess a 3rd hiccup (for me being in SLC) comes from no one being able to immediately tune it. That should happen soon however, but going in to it I just didn't figure no one would be setup to do the tune right after I was done with the install. I almost ended up buying my own ECUTek cable. So have that piece planned early on.

I called the greddy dealer directly and those were the two things he mentioned as well (tapping the oil pan and cutting into the crash bar).

Do you see any potential issues with installing a koyorad radiator as well?
