To those with muffler deletes:

Does anyone else get the entire back bumper covered in black exhaust soot? Factory exhaust other than a dual exit muffler delete (tips poke out further than stock and angle up)

Anyone have a clue what i can do to reduce or eliminate this soot from collecting on the car? It doesnt come off in any car wash (auto or manual touchless) and only now thanks to a recommendation from my detailer can i truly get it clean during a hand wash...

No black soot here and I've also deleted the secondary cat. My guess is you're running rich.

single Nameless delete here, no abnormal soot that I've noticed, but my BRZ is dark gray metallic, so it would have to be pretty bad to notice. My Nameless track pipe does stick out quite a bit farther than stock.

If you have the cats still I'd say you're running rich...

Im thinking it must have to do with the angle of the tips and maybe even the fact they are such a large diameter. Only accumulates on the highway drives. Most exhausts collect soot inside the tips, mine are barely black inside, but it gets on the bumper. Oh well. Thanks for the input..

I've got a Borla axleback setup the dealership had put on my car, and I've noticed a lot of black junk on the back of my car too. For a while I figured it was just usual road grit or something, but now I'm not so sure. A couple people said you might be running rich, but if that was the case is there any way to confirm?
