Perrin Shorty antenna

Was considering buying a Perrin Shorty antenna and was curious if anyone who's purchased one has noticed a change in reception with the shorter antenna? I've read some reviews about cheaper shorter antennas and the reception suffering a little, just curious if this was the case with Perrin?

I have noticed a little drop in reception.. I go behind a big hill and I'll lose a little reception, I didn't notice it before, but so far it's nothing that makes me say, I need to put the stock one back on.. This is with in Vegas and I don't listen to the radio on road trip, and I haven't tried back home where the stock antenna had spotty service

I have the 2" and even though I don't play my radio that often I haven't noticed any change in reception.

I have the 2" but don't listen to a ton of the radio. I'm in a major metro area and get HD signals fine. I think you should be fine if you're near a major population density.

I have a 2" antenna.

In the city I haven't noticed any difference (or perhaps I haven't listened enough radio).
