Where do you put your iPhone 5 while driving?
First, I don't care to make this into a Android vs iPhone thread. I just wanted to see (for the people who own a iPhone 5) where do you put your iPhone?
The width seems to be perfect for the middle console slot area (where the switches go for heated seats in on the BRZ Limited), but it quickly gets dislodged during a hard turn. I need to keep it accessible because I need to make some selections for Pioneer AppRadio mode every now and then. Ideally for me, the phone would be in that location with with some cushioning/dampening to hold it in place to prevent A.) it from flying all over the place and B.) jarring the iPhone over rough roads, wiggling the lightning connection, resulting in intermittent connectivity with AppRadio. I'm sure AppRadio works a little bit better in a car where you don't feel every single bump in the road. |

Sounds like you need a phone mount. I keep mine in my pocket, connected through Bluetooth.
Here's a good thread on the topic: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18046 |

I connect via USB and toss it on the passenger seat. Funny part is that if I toss it it will activate the seatbelt warning so I have to place it very delicately on the seat!

I really do appreciate the link, and that mount that goes into the corner looks pretty cool. But I've played around with mounts (CD-slot, suction-cup, dashbased, etc.) and am of the opinion that they're not good for my FRS, my style of driving, or my relatively bumpy suspension setup.
I was just wondering if anybody figured out a simple yet ingenious way to secure & dampen their iPhone 5 to the center-console heated-seat rectangular hole. |
