Non Wheel Centric Spacers

Hey guys, I had a question/thoughts on non wheel centric spacers. I was going to get Part Shop Max spacers because I have ran them before but there is one thing I am worried about with non wheel centric spacers is stress on the lugs of the spacers and lug holes on the rim. On my Previous car I had 20in MRR HR3'S and the Lug holes saw a big of wallowing yet I am not sure if it was due to the wheel being crap or me messing up tightening my lugs. Since these spacers are centric to the hub but not the rim I wanted to kow your thoughts as far as damage to either part would be. Thanks for the input.
