scion led running light accents?

Has anyone else come across these being offered before?
I don't remember seeing them and did a quick search while here on my phone and didn't see anything.

With scion adding led running lights to all the newest models I wonder if this is what they are thinking to do so they don't have to use the better looking HID 86 headlights?

Both of the FR-S here at this dealer have them added.

That's a dealer add on to jack up the price, it'd probably be $100 to do it on your own.

Saw an FRS with aftermarket touchscreen nav added in, only $4,000! Not an OEM deal at all.

The worst is with mustangs at some scammer dealerships. Nothing sucks more than telling a guy they didn't make a "Boss Package" for a 2005-2009 Style Mustang, yet he paid $4,000 for some vinyl stickers, and a cold air intake. The real Boss didn't come out until 2012.

I know it's to jack the price up, lol. But it doesn't look like it was added at the dealership so that would make me think that it's a scion offered option to help the dealer add to the price, but I don't remember seeig it as an option anywhere.

I currently have those on my firestorm. They are uterlly useless really. I have a switch to turn them on and off as fog lights and they barely even increase visibility. I'm probably taking them off soon since they are interfering with the fitment of my 5 axis kit.

Edit. My car was still at the 25k mark with those and the scion usa spoiler so i'm not really sure I was charged for those.

That doesn't surprise me that they don't increase visibility. It looks like it's just a running light and not led dogs, like they put on the xB2 now and the new refreshed tC.

These are NOT OEM from scion. There is a vendor who are selling these on this forum.

Actually, Scion also offers them. Those are OEM.

They won't create any usable light output for driving at night, they are intended to be strictly cosmetic, but will function as a DRL.

I've seen them on a few cars, it might be a factory option.

Do you happen to know who? I saw the newegg link, but it appears to be just the lights, and the picture shown up top has a specific bezel fitment that comes with it. If I did it, i would want to do it that way.

I think they're pretty ridiculous and a bit insulting. They still haven't gotten the foglights over here, but have some Pep Boys Special LED lights, that's close enough right?
