Colts cut Manning
Colts have decided to part ways with Peyton Manning. So I assume now the Luck Era has begun. So that said, how do you feel about this decision and where do you think Peyton will end up?

3rd time is the charm for the Vikes? LOL.
Seriously, he should just retire. I am sure he won't, but he got his Super Bowl, so maybe it is time to rest on his mountain of money and get an analyst's gig somewhere. |

I'm sure if he wants to he'll have a number of offers. The good thing about being Peyton Manning, despite the injury, he's proven his ability to be a world class quarterback so he could pick where he wants to end up.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikings, Dolphins or Seahawks made a push to get Manning!
![]() Honestly, I say he calls it quits and becomes either an ESPN NFL analyst or a QB coach.

I expect manning to have a solid season for whatever team he plays for, hopefully not the jets or dolphins.
If Andrew Luck pans out the way I expect him to, the colts are lucky to hav two consecutive great 1st overall pick quarterbacks. |

Are the Colts really set on Luck? RG3 isn't a bad option either!

I agree RG3 isn't a bad option but I think Luck has everything to be a solid starter in the very first game so I dont think the colts will pass on him.
I know one thing for sure if the colts select RG3, there will be pure chaos for that 2nd overall pick. |

I'd like to see the Colts burn for what they did as they turned their back on Manning for what he's done for that orginaztion.
I hope he goes to the Jets and make it more interesting in the AFC East and play in the same state as his little bro.

How is Peyton going to afford his BRZ now that he won't get his $28M bonus

I can't blame the Colts. How much was Manning to be paid the upcoming season? ~18-20million? If he couldn't play full time and had to sit most of the season, that is a lot of money watching from the sideline.
Now as the Colts you pick either Luck or RG3 (most likely Luck). What is the top pick contract? Something like ~$6million/yr? That leaves you with $12-14 million to go out and add to your team. I don't think it is a bad deal for the Colts long term. Manning wasn't going to last forever. They rode him while it lasted. Time to move on. |

I get the whole business is business. For what its worth though I would have signed and trade Manning away then.
If I have a heart then I'd give him another chance even though I'm drafting draft Luck or Griffin. Luck is the safer bet for the Colts even if Griffin has more athleticism. And tranzformer, the Colts would have owed Peyton 28 million.
