JDM sidemarkers on GBS BRZ

I was able to acquire a pair of new smoked JDM sidemarkers from a private seller for $55 shipped to me. These HELIX brand markers are also available through Amazon [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Subaru-Scion-Bumper-Marker-Lights/dp/B00C315NEW/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_1"]here[/ame] and I would have purchased them through Amazon had I not found them for cheap.

The installation was made easy with this DIY . Total install time took about 15 minutes total. I did also switch out the amber bulbs to white LED bulbs (same bulb size as the rear license plate).

Those are definitely smoked. Clear looks whiter. I wish more tails had a lighter smoke at that level of tint instead of being so dark.

I'm flattered but I'd prefer to keep these exclusively for use in this thread. You're welcome to photograph my car at the next meet though!

Any indication of what country these are made in? I asked @86_ZN6 via PM but maybe he didn't see it...

i have these as well and they look and fit great. the only issue with them is that they don't actually reflect light the way sidemarkers should. i don't know if the JDM ones do this, but yea.. worth knowing.

I'm curious to know, are you passing up on these because they're made in Taiwan or because of another reason ATM?

You're fine going with white LEDs. It's highly unlikely that you will get pulled over for not having proper sidemarkers. The LEDs look so much better. It's the little details that matter!
