Best course of action?

Something has scratched my baby! Found this while detailing the car last night. I'm not entirely sure when it happened, I hit something with that wheel (piece of a road sign someone knocked over I think) but didn't notice any damage at the time. Other than that? Someone could have nudged me? Shopping cart? I don't know.

Suggestions for fixing it? It's clearly through the paint and into the plastic so a full respray of the bumper is probably the "right" fix.

Looks like the whole paint job is a wash. Probably should just pick a new color and vinyl wrap the whole car. On the upside, you can pick whatever color you'd like, the downside is you have to pick a color they have a vinyl for.

I was thinking that might work well on the longer horizontal one.

Nathan-
I have some touch up paint, if you wanted to try using a bit of it. It's the small paint tube from the dealer. I use it occasionally with some of the chips I've inherited from the track. Personally, I don't think it matches that well...but you're welcome to use a bit of it.

Thanks Gary. I was thinking Dr. Colorchip because it supposedly can "fill in" the scratch somewhat.

I just used a toothpick to "fill in" the chips on my car. But even with that, it just never looks the same. The metallic side of our paint just doesn't seem to blend in well.

use some 1 part bondo filler and then paint, the paint itself will not fill the scratch. You will need some solvent to wipe up excess bondo and get that as level as possible! Then paint, light coats, and a few of them vs. one thick coat.

Cheers,
GREG
