omg LOL

long story short.........the plate is 7 years old.......got it at the end of 2005 when i bought my very first mk4 golf tdi.......that was my baby, and his name was bruiser - brzr

last december someone cut me off, and i swerved to avoid him hitting me, losing control and hitting the concrete barrier.......killing my beloved car....that car i will ALWAYS miss

just a little less now that i have this pretty new white guy......with the old plates....but i don't wanna pay for new ones just yet

How was the tdi for MPG? How reliable was it? I was thinking about getting one of those for a DD but ordered up an FRS instead

i had the 2006 tdi for 7 years....never had any problems with it, other than having to replace bushings after 6 years of driving....
it was amazing on gas...it could get around ~900km city/highway driving on a tank, and one time we did pure highway from toronto to sandusky, OH and got ~1100km on the tank

the new one wasn't as good on gas, maybe because it needed some time, or because the engine is different......i only had it for 5 months, but noticed that i would get around 100km less on a tank than the old golf........so i can't say much about it, but it was a huge disappointment in the way it handled, and i MISSED the old engine rumble of the mk4 (everything past mk4 is a different engine)

if you do a lot of driving than it pays off......and if you don't end up with a lemon, i think it's a pretty reliable car.....some people really like the new ones, it just happens i didn't
