Seibon carbon Experience and pics

Hello ladies and gents, I’m pleased to share the following information and pictures of my most recent upgrades to my scion frs. So in the following pictures you will notice parts from Forgestar performance, and Seibon carbon fiber. So here is a list of my upgrades: Seibon VT style carbon fiber hood (which I believe hasn’t been released into the market yet), Seibon Kc style front lip, Seibon Kc style rear spats, and Forgestar performance wheels CF5 19’s 8.5+35 in the front and 9.5+38 in the rear.
Now here is the fun part! My thoughts and reviews on customer service and the quality of the parts purchased. So I would like to start with my first purchase which was my hood, front lip and rear spats from Seibon. I didn’t purchase directly from Seibon, as I figured I would get a better deal from CarID.com, What a mistake that was! I called Car ID and spoke to a sales rep and asked him on an ETA for FA style hood, Kc front lip, and Kc style rear spats. Notice my hood that I originally ordered is not the one I ended up with, but we will get to that in due time. Long story short Car Id lied and told me they had all these parts in stock at their warehouse, I know better, but I said what the heck ill go with it. I continued with my purchase, they assured me it would be shipped out in 4-5 business days. When my supposed delivery date came, all I received was an email saying “I’m sorry due to back order your parts are not expected to arrive until 8-10 weeks 0.0!!!!!!!! Immediately I said to my self this isn’t going to work, keep in mind I was trying to meet a dead line to have my car ready for May 4th for a car meet in Baton Rouge. So I placed my order in mid march. CarID was absolutely atrocious, and all they offered was a 50 gift card and 10% off my order for my next purchase with them, I laughed and told them to keep it. The “manager” called me back and apologized for the misinformation that was given to me, I simply responded by telling him not to worry about me using them again and to just get my parts that I paid good money for. On a scale from 1-10 I give CarID a 1 and the only reason they don’t get a Negative 10 is because if it wasn’t for them messing up royally on my order I would have never came across an opportunity that was given to me by Seibon for my Hood.
This brings me to my next experience with Seibon. I spoke to Seibon directly in hopes to actually receive some help from them on their parts and possibly some answers. Seibon took over the Entire order. I spoke to a gentleman named Julio, this guy is the absolute perfect example of Customer service. He not only worked with me on a weekly basis he offered me my wonderful VT-style hood which was used on one of their show cars. I said sure why not, it was cheaper then my original order and I needed the hood ASAP. All in all I received my parts after waiting only 6 weeks. More importantly I received my parts in time for the car show. The parts them selves fit beautifully, the only problem I encountered was do to my own fault with installing my front lip. Let’s just say if it wasn’t for my self tap screws I put in the left and right front fenders my front lip would be non existent. Take it from me don’t rush to drive your car after applying the silicon….give it 1-3 hours to set and then if you can let it sit for another 4 hours it wouldn’t hurt! The pictures speak for themselves! Seibon really surpassed my expectations. I have seen the bashing Seibon received on this forum, and I would not discredit anyone one here, as I hope anyone here will not do so to me, but I assure you all Seibon and especially Julio consider there customers to be their number one priority as I saw first hand how great they treated me and my mess that was created by CarID.com. I couldn’t be happier with my Seibon Parts!!! In fact I’m hoping to be able to purchase my TB-style side skirts from them next! I know this may not be how others feel about this company, but I can speak for my self and say they hit this one out the ball park.
Here are some pictures of my car with all the parts on them. I also snuck in some pictures of my installation process of my aero catch latches.

I would like to send special thanks for the following people and companies.
Seibon carbon and Julio Bernal
DnJ wheels and Dee
Suworks Auto Magic and Sumo- These guys are truly Magicians of their craft.

The hood vents are open all of them, the hood did come with vent dampeners, but the only reason they did was due to the fact that hood was a prototype and seibon forgot to take out the custom dampeners. =P So you can say i got lucky

Honestly, that's what I call a cool hood bro. Such a riveting hood, I honestly got my phone, copied and pasted 801.432.8851 to my phone, saved on my contacts, backed the number up on icloud, drove to the bank, put $697 and my phone in the bank, and will leave it there until my kids turn about 12 (when they can actually state their age, and ask what it is I'm showing them), when I will pick it up, I will order this hood from seibon. I will put it on an fr-s and show this cool hood to them and tell them, "kids, this is what a cool hood should look and feel like...not like the hoods your generation has.

Looks great man!! I've had a Seibon hood on my other car for years and it's never faded or yellowed. Still looks shiny and new. Good stuff.

Really old thread I know but does the front lip sit parallel to the ground (when viewed from the side) or does it taper up like the OEM front bumper contour? Reason I ask isnI want to install a splitter and have it sit parallel to the ground.
