Acoustic Glass
Looks like some companies make sound deadening glass for cars. Does anyone know if it is available for the BRZ/GT86? Also, is it worth the money for 5-10 db reduction as posted by the manufacturer?

I wasn't aware of that being available. Is it worth it? I would say no. The last three cars I owned before buying my FR-S were two Miatas and a 911 Carrera Cabriolet and my FR-S is already quiter on the highway than any of those three were. I don't see a need for quieter.

If it is also stronger than our OEM glass I would consider it, I am on my third windshield....

I would be interested in that. I wonder if it helps control interior reflections?

from what I read it does reduce sound waves bouncing off the glass and provides better internal sound quality as a result.

My truck has this type of glass from the factory. One of my back side windows cracked, it was a warranty thing as the guide was out of alignment, but the dealer originally quoted me $700 or so for a single SIDE window! Granted it's a Megacab and they have big windows, but still.
It's just double laminated like the windshield as far as I'm aware. Now in defense of the stuff, my truck is indeed very quite inside, talking Acura/Lexus quite here...
