Cel light came on

Hey, so I was filling up the other day and restarted my car and the cel light came on. So I scanned the code with the dash command app and the BT1 Bluetooth OBD plug in, and it said the code was for Communication module BUS A, so I cleared it and it hasn't come back since, but I'm wondering does anyone know what that is?

Since you were just getting fuel, I would suggest checking your filler cap. If its not all the way screwed tight it will throw a CEL.

Do you always have a BT OBD2 adapter plugged into the port?

Ya that wasn't it as I was 100% sure that I had screwed it back on tight, and it wasn't an Evap code or anything like that. Just struck me as odd, hasn't showed back up since though.

Yeah, drove to Florida and back 4200+KM two months ago with it plugged in-no issues at all.

Com errors like that are common with BT adapters with software running/connected when the vehicle starts. If it is a U coded CEL thats more than likely what it is.

There are various CELs you need the number code something like:

U0073

Anything with a U when you first start it is usually related to the ODB2 adapter running in a state it shouldnt be.
