99% of all LED and HID kit lights are manufactured the same, just different vendors and customer service separate them. But thanks for the heads up

Yes and no, there are different manufacturers out there and different levels of quality for sure. I'd try to find a decent brand kit (Philips/Osram/Bosch for HID) over kits coming out of China.

There are many differences when it comes to HIDs:

Check out our groupbuy thread and you can see differences between HID kits on the market:

Nope. A lot are cheap kits are sold cheap, some cheap kits are sold expensively to give the appearance of quality. Only a few are really worth buying for the high price because the quality is outstanding and is fully backed by the vendor.

For around $30, you have to wonder what steps did the manufacturer skipped on just to sell the kit at that price, which also includes the markups, shipping costs, etc.

Mine were $35 from DDM. I had them on my first cobra for 3 years (sold the car and they still worked perfectly), M3 for a little over a year (still worked perfectly when I sold), second cobra 1 year (still worked perfectly when sold) and now the FRS, going on 5 months. I work at night, so I would say about 50% of my driving is at nighttime on all of the cars mentioned. I have never had an issue with cheap HID's.

I would have to replace them 5 times to equal the price of even a decent kit. More times for an expensive kit. So far, so good. I'll stay cheap
