Should I buy my header or get a tune this week?

Got a small bonus this week a can't decide if I should get a tune or buy a header, i can only afford one or the other at this time.

Well a tune would help you get better results from the header... so if you are going to get a header eventually I'd do that before you get the tune. That way you can be tuned to get more out of the header.

Save up and get them both at the same time so you'll only have to tune once (plus you'll be much more delighted with the results) instead of twice?

Tough call, you will need to update the tune for the header to get the most out of it.

FA20club or P&L headers with a tune are probably the best NA power gain around so far..

Maybee hit up Tony at FA20club.com and see what he can do for you...

Get the header, and if it throws a CEL, get a tune.

That way you'll be forced to get both if need be.

Go to the doctors and ask him to remove the splinters from your ass!

Seriously, asking other people what YOU should do with YOUR money is like asking someone else what you would like to eat. You know what you want, you know what you can spend - so only you can decide what to do!

a tune with no header will make more power than a header with no tune

That is true, I guess the joke didn't get across that you can get both header and tune by getting the tune as needed with the header.

I personally got the tune a week before I got header.

Not to be a prick, but if you can only afford one or the other, there are probably more useful (though far less fun) things you could be doing with the money. If I'm misreading and its a 'my wife will only let me spend $xxx' and not 'I only have $xxx in the bank', then go with the tune. More bang for the buck. Otherwise, save the cash and let it build up for a while. Once you have triple what you need to spend in the bank (after expenses), go wild.

It depends on what tune you get. Not all tuners will retune you for free.

A header by it's self will have some gains, but nowhere near what you will get with a tune combined with the header.

Also, not all headers will throw a cel. Catted headers should be fine.

If It were me and I was doing it all over again, I probably would go Header first, then tune (as soon as possible) so I can spend less time messing with reflashes and logs.
