Aftermarket Sterring Wheels

So...im planning to replace my steering wheel to an aftermarket on with quick release. I tried looking on here about this topic, but my ADD kicked in. I know i'd have to take out the airbag, and i know you guys will say that its not worth coz of safety reasons and whatsoever (if you drive stupid, you're bound to get into an accident). If anyone here has replaced your steering wheels, what did you do? How'd you disable the airbag light? And anymore tips that you can share? Thanks guys!

the airbag def does need to come out and not having an airbag is something that you will have to decide on. if you have a harness and a bucket seat, perhaps you would be more...safe? Of course, the decision is up to you. Driving stupid is a no no, but can't trust other drivers as well. Although I have not replaced mine, I have done an extensive amount of research on here and have some answers for you. The airbag light is disabled via using 2ohm resistors that will keep the light from coming on. There are some kits out there that will come with the resistors and come with everything you need in order to make everything work properly. works bell hub is the only one that i know of that comes with everything and I actually have one sitting at my shop waiting to be installed. other tips, disconnect the battery or pull the fuses before touching the airbag stuff for the JUST IN CASE kind of deal. make sure that clock spring is centered or you will have an angry traction control light and won't turn off. ALSO! keep in mind that MANY hubs will NOT be compatible since it does not have a slit that is required to keep that traction control light off which means it will be disabled. (correct me if I am wrong guys). The only one that I know of that has the slit and the resistors and fully compatible is the works bell hub. it's pricey but worth it imo since it comes with everything. I hope this helps.

if i'm wrong in any of this, please correct me.

I thought you said you wanted a 10 second car, not a 10 minute car.

Oh wait....
