Help with BRZ audio

First off, I don't know a lot about sound systems, especially when it comes to cars, let alone the BRZ. I apologize for anything moronic I may say from this point forward.

First off, I want to keep the Stock Head Unit. I kinda like it, and I'm installing a backup camera really soon. I like that it works, works with the car, and is STOCK. I'm really going for a stock look, with serious sound.

In terms of price range.... I'm not decided. The lower the better, obviously, but I did just drop 34k on this car. Spending more than I need to will only get me in trouble.

Which leads to upgrading. I don't need everything all at once, I'm willing to build this system over the course of months.

Alright, into the nitty gritty.

I've been recommended a few different speaker set ups. First of which is a JBL system for $300. JBL Speakers The second is a really nice Hertz three way component system. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A3EQD4U"]Hertz HSK 163[/ame]
Anything else near or around that price that kicks ass in terms of speakers?

I also want an amp, and a sub. This is where I start to admit I have little to no knowledge. For the HSK system, do I need a 6-way amp? An 8-way if I get a sub? Maybe a 6-way and an additional single way?

What about the JBL speakers? Do I need amps for that? I know there is a factory amp, but all my knowledge of that stops right there.

I need an enclosure for my sub (10" pref) and I know there is a vendor on here who makes custom boxes, but I can't find him for the life of me. Anyone know who I'm talking about?

Anyways, I need help, and I hope you all can help me. Looking for a really nice and clear system with tight bass for those songs that really love it.

No you wouldn't need a "6-way" amp as there is no such thing there are 6 channel amps like the zed leviathanIII, Zapco has one and so do many other companies but if you don't know much about audio I would recommend you not go for a 4-way setup (3-way front+ Sub) as you want to retain the stock Head Unit and it would probably suck at trying to get those drivers Eq'ed in just right. Go with a simple 3-way setup. (2-way front+sub)
What makes a 10 superior to any other sized driver out there?

Get yourself a 6 channel processor that will power the tweeters, doors and rears http://www.alpine.com.au/showPage.php?pid=345 then add a sub amp + sub.

Works well from OEM integration where you want to keep the factory HU and use the existing stereo wiring

does that processor have a built in amp? if not it isn't gonna power anything... it will help with setting the soundstage and eq, T/A etc but thats about it. I don't think the op wants to mess with any of the complicated stuff as he says he doesn't know much about audio.

Oh yeah Op I recommend you do some major sound treatment for your killer build like second skin dampener or Cld tiles and add mass loaded vinyl and closed cell foam to get maximum outside noise and panel noise suppression. This will help you the most. Power and high end drivers won't be anything without dampening the cabin. I would say do this step first while you still have all the stock audio components in the car to see where you stand. If you aren't happy then start going after amps, drivers and so on.

Yep, will take the HU amplified inputs and run them straight into the DSP

"With six speaker-level inputs, you can connect six channels of sound from a head unit and other components that do not have preamp outputs. There's no need for seperate line output converters. - See more at: http://www.alpine.com.au/showPage.php?pid=345#sthash.bHnNwkLf.dpuf"

One more question for the OP are you going for a reference level setup or are you just trying to get better sound?
