DRL LED help

I recently just installed 2013 Scion Fr-s DRL Daytime Running Lights 9005 High Power Leds 7.5watts Super Bright White Daytime Lights Subaru Br-z Led Lights( Precision LED). I installed at night time, and when I turned my lights on they were not working. The LED's only came on when I turned on the high beam. Do these LED lights only work in the daytime? and at nightime when I have my high beam on? or they should work at night-time just as well without turning on my high beams.

Thanks

they are called DRL because they only work during the day.

also, they only work when your hand break is down

Haha I just wanted to make sure. And are they going to work in the day time without being on high beam setting?

Like stated before, handbrake/e-brake must be down for it to show and it will work in the day without the highbeam on.

Haha, he was only kidding when he said they only work in the day.

They come on automatically once the e-brake is disengaged AND you do not have your regular headlights on. There is only one brightness for LED DRL's. They aren't much use as high beams since they do not project light like bulbs do.

The DRL come on only when your driving or any other gear besides parked. I ask the same question too when I installed them.

Really? I'm going to have to try that. But even when my e brakes are off, I can't see the lights . They are only turned on in the day and nights when my high beams are on

If you are in an auto, then what Nhat said is correct.

Yea I am driving an auto though. You have to tell someone to put it in gear for you so you can see it yourself or try it at night time when its dark outside.

Are you aware that they are supposed to turn off when your headlights are on? That's what we mean by "they only work during the day". Just want to clarify this, not sure if it was made clear

No because the DRL also function as Highbeams during the night.

For the DRL LED that I got, they run only when the car is not in park (automatic). And yes they do function as highbeams at night.
Now the only problem i am getting is that my DRL LED flicker when there on. Is that a problem with the bulb? or something else
