OEM JDM Tail light Blinking Fast - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Friends,

I recently installed JDM tail lights onto my BRZ, with the clear reflectors. My taillights blink fast now, when using the turn signal, but blink at the normal speed when using the hazards. Anyone else run into this issue?

You just need to get a new flasher unit to stop the hyperblinking. @KI_ZN6 does sell them if you need to buy one.

After doing some more research, the JDM tails and the USDM tails are wired differently. The turn signal and brake is reversed. You need to swap the Red and White wires. Once you do that, you're golden!

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=21679&page=7 shows the problem on aftermarket tails, so the wiring colors are different, but you need to move the wires that correspond to the blue and white (red and white on OEM JDM)
