Best Unichip Map for Me?

Ok so I'm about to get my unichip installed with the Flux2. I'm new to any sort of EMS/tuning, so I need someone to help explain the best map for me in terms of fuel and timing. I have a catback, front pipe, and overpipe, along with a drop in filter and inlet hose. So I know I will use the all-catback, all-drop in map, but I want to know which customization will be best and how to judge which to use. I will use 91 octane, without any added ethanol. I was thinking about having one map as an immobilizer, one as the valet map, and then 3 different time/fueling maps. If anyone could easily explain why I should use which map, that would be great. TIA!

i dont own a unichip but ive read alot about it so! you should try the map you said with different variances of timing and fuel and see for yourself which ones feel better for your car cause it wont be the same for everyone. might wanna start with the map you said with fuel out and timing in which would be the most aggressive map less fuel and more timing and use that as a baseline. theres not really a right awnser its more trial and error.
good luck with your tuning!!

Last guy was pretty spot on...

Use the 0-60 or 0-100 times from the Flux2 to evaluate your results. The maps are for 92 octane, and in my experience with 91 you want to err on the lean side of the 92 maps (F- and T+), or on the rich side of the 89 maps (F+ and T-). It sort of depends on where you get the gas and what the blend is for that time of the year, etc. That's all for CA gas so you could have completely different results!

The best way is to vary only one at a time - so keep timing the same and try all three fuel settings, then use the best fuel setting and try all three timing settings. Repeat for 92 and 89, and see how quick you can get those times!

Just wanted to follow up with you. Did you find a good map that works for you?

Jack has said in the past, normal timing/normal fuel will work the best 99% of the time.

I will try that tomorrow. Some tests I did today let me to fuel out timing out. Makes me nervous leaning the engine though.

I'm gonna be honest, I think my butt dyno is broken. Anyone install and not feel much of a difference? I'm not sure if the butt dyno isn't on point today or what, but it's not very noticeable. I'm using 92 fuel out timing in, all drop ins, all catbacks. I also have the 89 fuel in timing out for the same drop in and catbacks.

I'm using 91 octane.

I sort of wondered the same thing. I had gotten use to the power it seemed for a couple of months and I had my 15k check up so I went ahead and just didn't run it at all for a day.

The difference was definitely noticeable.

Hopefully I feel it more. What map are you running?

I noticed it takes a day without it installed to notice the difference. I have had to bring my car in a few times. But it is definitely noticeable once you remove it after a day or so.

I just installed mine with the Perrin intake, catback, 92 octane standard timing maps right out of the box. Difference is HUGE. It pulls you into the dip, and right back out again and right to redline. I hear intake noise again, and the exhaust is louder.

If you are trying to vary your maps I would use a rolling measurements like 20-60 or something along those lines. A lot of factors come into play when you are going from a stop and the maps will make fractions of a second difference.
