I'm a big fan of Michelin Pilot Super Sports or Advan AD08's.

Are you going to be driving these in the winter through snow/rain/ice? If not, Hankook Ventus RS3. The Pilot Super Sport is not even in the same league, and the AD08 is soon to be replaced by the AD08R.

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec are nice and have been using them for years now. Good balance between track and street use IMO.

the rs3 is a great tire but it is still a last gen type of thing. from what i have heard from drivers and seen from lap times is that the bfg rival is a tire that is easier to drive and has more grip while lasting at least as long. i remember reading on tire rack that even the worst tire of this generation so far is going to be better than the best tire of years past.

imo, the rival is going to be the best "street" tire for quite some time.

We tried em. Rivals are not as fast as RS3s.

andy hollis disagrees and so do a lot of the lap times that i have see. i would imagine that there are times where each of these tires would shine so i can totally see how people are coming to different conclusions.

Want a set of Rivals? We'll give em to you cheap cuz we don't want em. Still got 12 of em left. Maybe it's a preference thing. I'm faster on RS3.

I'm running Z2's, they're arguably as fast as the Rival's and RS3's, all driver dependent.
