Inexpensive wheel to fit Sprint Kit.

Can anybody suggest a cheapish 17x7/7.5/8 wheel that will clear the Essex Sprint Kit? I am wanting a spare wheel but I don't want to have to resort to a space saver. (Wheel spacers not allowed.)

Anything cheaper... I would consider suspect or of questionable quality.

You bought a genuine Toyota/Scion/Subaru, not some off brand, right?

Kosei K4R are cheaper and clear the sprint. I don't have much time on the K4R's but I never had issues with their older wheels

I have 8 RPF1s. I was just after an 80 km/h rim that isn't a space saver. I can't use one of the RPF1s that are off the car as a spare as they aren't wearing street legal tyres.

Nothing that I'm aware of in 5x100. The 370z/G37 spare tire clears BBKs, but is 5x114.3

Just keep a 20mm or higher spacer in the trunk. I think without a spare tire the mat won't sit totally right.

That's a ridiculous thing to say. There are a million wheels cheaper than RPF1s that are just fine, including most other Enkeis and what the overwhelming majority of Subarus roll on. Ever heard of Rota?

We say RPF1 because we KNOW they fit with the BBK he is running and we don't consider them expensive...especially when he's only looking to buy 1. Rota is considered an "off brand" by the way. While they might be sufficient wheels, we do not endorse or sell them ourselves.

Recommending the RPF1 is good. Saying anything cheaper is suspect is asinine.

I wouldn't ever recommend anyone buy a Rota for their car.

If you're turbocharging your car, are you gonna get the brand name or the ebay turbo?

Find me a single wheel that offers better value than a RPF1. That's why I say anything cheaper is suspect.

Better value for what? Most people are getting wheels because of the way they look, and 1) I don't like the way they look on a BRZ and 2) everyone has them. So the value, if that's your goal, is terrible. Light and strong are great, but light enough and strong enough is.... enough, often at half the price.

If my wheels spun at 100krpm like a turbo shaft I would probably agree with your ebay comment, but you're comparing apples and oranges. ebay turbos are documented garbage. Anecdotal evidence says Rotas are as strong as the next wheel. What part about so many WRXs running on Rotas (and similar or even cheaper wheels) just fine makes you think they are of such questionable quality that they wouldn't work on a car that's 500lbs lighter?

FWIW, I have Enkeis.
