Injen Intake

After doing research on this intake system and installing it I think I have came to the conclusion that I lost power. Do I need to get my car re-tuned? Don't get me wrong the intake sounds great and I have no idle issue's but overall I feel like I lost power. This is the only aftermarket part on my car, nothing else has been installed. Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

By design the Injen is a hot air intake and if you search (example 1 , example 2 , example 3 ) you'll find many users of the Injen experiencing bogging and sluggish response and even CEL's for a lean condition when driving on the street. The open faced design with the filter exposed means all the trapped heat that rises up off the header when idling gets the filter heat soaked very easily.

You can either buy a true CAI (VMS, Perrin, FA20club), fix your Injen, or just put a drop-in filter in the stock intake and call it a day.
