DIY Request: 3rd brake light delete

I think i saw a post where someone had removed the 3rd brake light, but no instructions, and I cant seem to find a DIY or anyone else who has done it.

Its not too bad just a lot of snap clip rivets. And this pillars in rear just pull out. I did it without online DIY.

I just deleted mine as well, if you follow the instructions to remove the panel all you will need to do is drill out the plastic rivets that hold on the pedestal from the underside. This does leave some holes on the panel afterwards but I think the black pop rivets could fill these easily and look fairly clean, just an idea. I'll get some pictures before i reinstall mine.

The instructions on how to remove the rear deck panel http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10002 after this is done its as easy as drilling out 5 plastic rivets from the bottom.

The 5 plastic rivets can be seen in the picture of the underside of the panel in the removal thread, they are the grey spots on the black T looking piece in the middle.
