Best way to detach the 3rd brakelights? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I'm trying to stick a decal on my 3rd brakelights:

I was looking through this thread but it seems like alot of work just for a small decal.

However, on post #8, someone did mention the top portion of the brakelights being possible to remove.

Does anyone know how that could be done?

One thing to keep in mind is that our third brake light is a series of LEDs.. Basically a couple of circles. Might not light up the decal the way you are expecting.

I suppose if it's that easy to detach the third brake lights, it's no harm giving it a shot

sucks you can't remove the bracket, i wish a vendor would make a shorter slimmer version because that thing is so annoying when you're looking in the rear view mirror.

Strange I never found that to be an issue.
