CEL P1235 After turbo kit?

Hello FI guys

Im getting a CEL P1235 code which is the fuel pump after a turbo install.

Any of you guys getting this?

Car would stall after like 20 miles and will not run again unless i reset the ecu.

Car will run good again but it comes back.

Let me know what you guys think

What FP did you install?? The FP installation is the trickiest part from a mod stand point of this car. I can now do it closed eyes.

I'd pull the pump back out and triple check everything, you can't risk fuel issues

To speed this up, you should include this information when posting about the issue:

1) What turbokit?

2) What, if any, additional modifications besides the turbokit?

3) Was it installed at a shop, or by yourself?

4) Was the fuel pump modified or replaced with an upgraded unit?

It shouldn't have anything to do with the turbo kit, then. It's much more likely that when it was replaced under TSB, it wasn't done properly.

Turbo kits and super charger kits shouldn't touch the fuel system in any manner, unless there was injectors/fuel pump replaced during the install. So if there is an issue with the fueling, it's a separate (coincidental) issue.

There are two fuel pumps, the mechanical direct injection pump which gets replaced under the TSB and the electric port fuel injection pump in the tank. Which pump is this CEL referencing? My guess is that your tuner is doing something weird with the direct injection that the car isn't liking.

yeah, like King Tut says, we have two pumps and the code might be because the tune is doing something weird with it, especially since you haven't installed yet an aftermarket in tank pump.

not sure which pump really is being referred by the CEL. i will try to replace in tank FP and see if it can remedy the issue.

what FP are you using by the way?

This is actually a CEL I haven't seen.

Are you misfiring J? Does it stall in gear or just in neutral? Any other DTCs or symptoms?

What ROM revision are you running if you are on Ecutek? The JA00C ROM revisions have a fuel control issue and you are supposed to use the JA01C. Some more info on your issues could help us diagnose.

long time no see mark.

I will have to ask pete what ROM we are currently running.

the car stalls while running. I took the car home from works and drove through 37. At first i was boosting all the way and everything was fine then after about 30 miles of driving, the car started to jerk and Ultimately it stalls on me while im in low gear.

The car would start up again but it automatically shuts off.

I pulled the battery waited for the ECU to reset then i was able to move again.

Stalling while in operation is not fun, but it's interesting that resetting the ECU remedies the issue temporarily. Maybe it's tune related?

But some early stock cars reported the issue: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=12428&page=2 The prospect of an OEM issue could exist.
