BRZ tune and warranty

I would really like to get a custom tune for this car as I already bought an intake and its lighting a CEL due to "lean condition". I had to swap everything out and take it back to the dealer so they would erase the cell. My question is, does the dealer know that there is an aftermarket flash on the ECU?

If so, is there a way to reflash back to oem tune without the dealer knowing what you did?

Thanks

Short answer is yes, they can tell if you've had your ECU flashed. I'm not an expert though, this is only what I remember reading here. I recommend doing a search to be sure.

No, they can't tell if you flash the correct file.

as long as you are going back to a stock file before you visit the dealer, no, they cannot see what yo are running.

However if you leave the file with racerom and map switching installed, then yes they will be able to figure it out.

In all honesty, most of the dealers are being very easy about the calibrations. In fact we do EcuTek tuned calibrations for several dealers in Texas and Cali, and they sell the car to the customer tuned!

BTW, since your in Houston, call me if you need help, we are the EcTek master for this end of the country, and I am always happy to help out
